Why Us?

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT?

Welcome to D.Tour! We are a touring company like no other, the D. in our name is for Difference. Where most other companies seek to make a profit our company only has two goals in mind: first we want to give our riders an experience they will never forget, an adventure that takes them off the normal ‘tourist’ path and puts them in control of their own journey -without the stress.

We will handle all the hotels, the food, the routes and even the maintaining of your bike. Just sit back, hit the throttle and enjoy the majesty of the worlds highest peaks. Daily rides are between 2-6 hours long, with plenty of stops along the way to meet locals, eat, swim in rivers and of course take all the selfies you want. We also have a professional photographer on our team who will ensure you get just the right snap to make your work colleagues regret going to their plain-jane spot for their vacation.

Second, we seek to support the staff and children of The Good Shepherd Agricultural Mission, an orphanage that is at the heart of what we do. All profits from our tours go towards the orphanage and its staff. We seek to provide those who care for these amazing children with an income that they can use to support their own families.

As a part of the D.Tour package we will spend several days both at the start and end of the tour at the orphanage with the kids, giving you a chance to see who it is you are supporting. For more information about The Good Shepherd Agricultural Mission, take a look at their website.

Who can ride?

SOME EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Anyone considering coming on a D.Tour ride should have at least a few years experience on a motorcycle. You certainly don’t need to be a motocross champion, but a thousand kilometers under your belt is a definite must. You should be comfortable on a bike, gear changes should happen by instinct and without thought. Indian roads are famous for their unforgiving nature, but the mountains we will be driving in are mostly deserted. It’s not at all like what you will see in Delhi. Pillion passengers are also welcome, but not recommended for anyone who is not a veteran rider due to a few rough sections of road that we will be crossing. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us, we are always happy to help.

Our ride is focused around the Kumaun region of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Known for it’s incredible mountain passes, snow views, glacial fed streams and welcoming atmosphere, Uttarakhand is a place of inexplicable beauty.

MORE PHOTOS

“The first time I went with D.Tour I was a little nervous. I have only ridden a little bit in Australia, I might have overstated my abilities on my application. The D.Tour crew looked after me like one of their own, I had an absolute blast and by day three I was carving up the roads like a pro (or at least felt that way).”

SAM HABERLIE, S. Group, Australia

“After hundreds of solo trips through the Himalayas I joined the D.Tour crew. There is nothing quite like traveling as a pack. The community that is developed is something money can’t buy. I definitely feel like I have made friends for life!”

EUGENE GEORGE, GSAM, India

“Clifton is wonderful with people, which is why I think his photography is so strong.  He has a great sense of light and of capturing the moment, especially when it comes to action and portrait photography.”
